“My dog won't eat it.”
Why it happensBulk plastic storage. CBD absorbs a plastic taste in warm warehouses, animals detect it instantly.
Most CBD pet treats fail for two reasons we can fix, the spectrum of the calming serum, and the container it's stored in. Here is, in detail, what we do differently.

Read any one-star review and you'll see the same two sentences, over and over. Both come from the same place, choices made long before the treat reaches your pet.
“My dog won't eat it.”
Why it happensBulk plastic storage. CBD absorbs a plastic taste in warm warehouses, animals detect it instantly.
“I don't think it worked on my pet.”
Why it happens“Full-spectrum” labels on broad-spectrum CBD. Critical compounds needed for the entourage effect get stripped out.
Every brand says they care about quality. We are obsessive about four specific choices most of the industry side-steps to save money. Each one is a reason why your pet feels the difference.
We use the entire hemp plant, every cannabinoid, terpene, and trace compound that creates the entourage effect. No isolates, no broad-spectrum filtering, no “up to” B.S. language on the label.
Our CBD never touches plastic. Amber glass, cool storage, sealed dark.
Final dose is hand-applied to baked treats here in Hawaii, never mixed and pressed at scale.
Pumpkin, sweet potato, hemp. Nothing your pet wouldn't recognize on a kitchen counter.
The single biggest reason pets refuse CBD treats. Drag the slider, this is what happens to a typical plastic-stored CBD inventory on its journey.
Most “full-spectrum” treats are quietly broad-spectrum, a cheaper extraction that strips most of what makes hemp actually work. Compare the three.
Our raw materials come from one place. Every finished treat is dosed and packed by us, on Oahu. Three stops between farm and your dog's bowl.
Hemp grown by a GMP-certified, human-grade facility in the US.
Full-spectrum CO₂ extraction. Tested for cannabinoid profile, heavy metals, pesticides.
Bottled in amber glass and sent to Oahu refrigerated. Never warehoused warm.
We dose each baked treat by hand. CBD touches glass and food, never plastic.
Finished treats rest under 40°F until they ship to you, sealed in a 15-month shelf-stable pouch.
Most calming treats are pressed, bound together by a dozen ingredients no animal would recognize on a kitchen counter. Ours are whole foods you can pronounce, then dosed by hand.
Every brand in the category cuts costs the same way. We refuse all of it.
Pull any “premium” CBD pet treat off the shelf and check the back. This is what you're actually buying, line by line, against what we make.
If you don't see your question, write us. We answer every email, usually the same day, from our kitchen on Oahu.
Yes. The same calming treat works for cats and dogs, dose by weight (we include a per-bag chart). The hemp is full-spectrum and has THC at the federal limit, and we've tested with 3rd-party labs before shipping anything.
Hemp doesn't do its job through CBD alone, it's the entourage effect. Cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, CBC, and a dozen terpenes work together. Broad-spectrum extraction strips most of that out. We use the entire plant, and we publish the COA with every batch.
Plastic leaches into CBD oil when it warms, even briefly, in a truck or a sun-exposed shelf. Animals detect the off-taste immediately and refuse the treat. Our CBD never touches plastic from extraction to the moment we dose your treat.
Hemp and raw ingredients are sourced from a GMP-certified, human-grade facility in the US. Final dosing, baking, and packing happens here on Oahu, by us, by hand.
Yes. We work directly with independent pet shops across the US. We offer Zoom or in-person training on the product, seasonal pricing, and accept full returns (though we've never had one). Reach out to wholesale@pawstreats.com.
Sealed, 15+ months. No refrigeration needed after opening, we've formulated around shelf-stable whole-food binders and don't use synthetic preservatives.
Most owners notice softening within the first 30–45 minutes of the first treat, typically calmer body language, slower breathing, less hyper-vigilance. For ongoing situations (storms, separation, vet visits), we recommend dosing 45 minutes ahead.
We rotate special offers throughout the year and welcome requests from retailers for seasonal pricing. Subscribers also receive the quiet letter, one short note a month, with new releases first.
If your pet doesn't love it, we'll refund you. We haven't had to yet.
